Phoenix area familiarization
For pilots new to the Valley. One hour of ground on the Phoenix Class B, busy towered fields, Luke AFB traffic, terrain, density altitude and summer heat, plus detailed instruction on the Arizona Flight Training Workgroup (AFTW) procedures: local reporting points, practice areas, and “The Stack” at Stanfield and Casa Grande. Then a two hour flight to put it into practice.
Mock checkride oral
A full practice oral for private, instrument, commercial or CFI, with a written debrief of weak areas.
Scholarship application review
Essay edit, resume review and a practice interview for one scholarship application.
Airline and cadet interview prep
Technical and behavioral questions, with feedback from someone who has been through the airline hiring process.
